Update on Hurricane Beryl - Monday 1 July, 3:00 PM

The most recent communications from the National Hurricane Centre report hurricane warning currently in effect for four Caribbean destinations (Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Tobago), and a tropical storm warning is in effect for three destinations (Martinique, Saint Lucia and Trinidad).

Beryl is a category 4 hurricane, expected to remain an extremely dangerous major hurricane as its core moves through the Windward Islands into the eastern Caribbean. Some weakening is expected in the central Caribbean by midweek, though Beryl is forecast to remain a hurricane.

The Caribbean Tourism Organisation Chapter has reached out to all concerned destinations and will do our utmost to offer support.

We stand in solidarity with our people and tourists affected by the situation and send our thoughts and prayers to everyone impacted.

We will keep our members informed on the evolving situation and are available for any additional support that may be required.
