To Our Partners
On behalf of The Cuba Tourist Office, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your ongoing support and collaboration with our country. We understand the difficulties posed by the current embargo and travel restrictions for all involved.
While our destination is going through challenges, it remains open for business, and we want to reassure you that we are committed to maintaining strong relationships with our trusted partners. Your efforts in promoting and supporting our destination have not gone unnoticed, and we are truly grateful.
Cuba has been facing a complex situation in recent years, stemming from the tightening of the blockade imposed by the United States, which has had repercussions in various economic and social spheres. In response to this scenario, several measures have been implemented to mitigate the impact on the population, the economy, and tourism, the country's main source of foreign exchange.
Tourist accommodation in Cuba remains operational and functional. As part of the strategy, hotels have been consolidated to provide excellent service to those who choose to spend their holidays in our country. The hotel infrastructure is energy self-sufficient, thanks to independent power systems and backup generators, which reduce the risks of possible disruptions. The fuels needed for their operation have been secured. Similarly, private businesses such as rental homes and others have taken measures to reduce the impact of power outages.
The supply of food and supplies for the season is guaranteed, following the approval of new import companies and innovative marketing schemes with wholesalers and small and medium-sized private sector companies.
Fuel is guaranteed for airport transfers and tours, and new and attractive excursions have been designed to reduce the impact on transport.
Several airlines are maintaining operations by refuelling in a third Caribbean country.
Creativity and resilience define life in Cuba today, and despite economic and logistical difficulties, the warmth and friendliness of the Cuban people remain.
Cuba is a sustainable destination, rich in culture, history, beautiful beaches, and excellent weather. Here, tourism not only drives the economy but also contributes to the lives of people and their communities.
During this time, we are here to provide you with updates, marketing materials, training sessions, or any information that may assist you in continuing to support our efforts. While the current situation presents its challenges, we remain focused and committed, and we are confident in our ability to move forward with resilience.
The continued support of valued partners such as yourself is both encouraging and deeply appreciated. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further information.
Best regards,
Cuba Tourist Office
